ABOUT PINNACLE MR DARCY

Pinnacle Mr Darcy is an outstanding male who by the age of 22 months had already achieved six broad ribbons in the show ring. Mr Darcy is the son of Alpaca Stud Inca The Pugilist (who now stands at stud in Sweden) and from our dam, Bowford Alpaca Stud Darcey one of our core elite females. Pinnacle Mr Darcy’s Grand Sire on the dam’s side is non other than Dovecote Jaquinto and his great Grandsire is the infamous Pastoro, going back even further, his great, great Grandsire on the dam’s side is the legendary Pperuvian Vengador.

At the 2016 Showtime, Pinnacle Mr Darcy was awarded Champion Fawn Male and Best in Show Fawn. International judge Steve Rideout said that Pinnacle Mr Darcy had “caught his eye, from the moment he first entered the ring.”

At the BAS National Show 2017 Pinnacle Mr Darcy secured himself as Reserve Champion Fawn Male to the ultimate Supreme Champion.

At the South of England Ardingly Spring Show Pinnacle Mr Darcy achieved a further 3 broad ribbons, winning Champion Fawn Male and subsequently he was crowned as Supreme Champion Huacaya and was also awarded Best British Bred Huacaya. Time and again judges have praised his phenotypical correctness, his substance of frame, capacity of chest and hindquarters, with a spring of rib and strength so needed in our herd sires. When moving into his fleece, Pinnacle Mr Darcy demonstrates a substantial length of staple, showing wonderful uniformity of colour and micron across both the staple and whole body and right out to the extremities. His fleece is beautifully soft handling and displays excellent density and all the commercial viability traits required for fibre production.

As a proven stud male, Pinnacle Mr Darcy absolutely stamps his defining presence and stature on his progeny.  Long staples with excellent density, fineness and uniformity of both colour and micron are all being passed on to his progeny.  We have been particularly pleased to see the high degree of amplitude and brightness in their fleeces and the success of his progeny in the show ring.

His first two daughters have now gone on to produce equally stunning cria and his effect through these onward generations is clearly evident.  If you would like to bring Mr Darcy’s genetics into your breeding programme, please give us a call to arrange.
